M.Eng. Mechatronic and Robotic Engineering Full-time

Year: 4
2026/27 Session

Students must pass all modules. If a student fails to meet these conditions they cannot be awarded an accredited degree at the end of their programme, under the Engineering Council’s policy on Compensation and Condonement. They will therefore need to be transferred to an unaccredited programme.

Additionally, students who do not meet the requirements for the MEng degree programme but meet the requirements for an accredited BEng degree, could be transferred onto the accredited BEng EESE programme.

Programme specific regulation: Due to the requirements of IET accreditation for MEng programmes, students who fail any "core" modules in year 4 will normally be transferred to an unaccredited MSci Mechatronics and Robotics. In this instance, "core modules" refers to modules whose learning outcomes are included in UK SPEC. Decisions as to whether a student has met the requirements of the IET accredited programme will be made on a case by case basis.
